Holiday Inn Grand Forks is now the New Clarion Inn

The Holiday Inn, located at 1210 North 43rd Street, after 40 years, will be converting its flag to Clarion Inn the end of this month. The Clarion brand is franchised by Choice Hotels, International, Inc., one of the world’s largest lodging franchisors. Clarion properties are an international group of full-service hotels that provide a quality of service, amenities, and an inviting atmosphere associated with finer hotels, but at an affordable price.
After 40 years as a landmark in the community, it was a difficult decision to change our franchise; however, Clarion Inn appears to be a perfect fit to compliment the company’s hotel portfolio which includes an extensive mix of Choice Hotels. We will also be the first Clarion Inn in the Dakotas and look forward to future expansion according to Deb Steding, director of operations for the management company. We are excited for the upcoming enhancements in our guest rooms and public areas which include a new food and beverage concept.
Owned and operated by the Ramage family of Grand Forks for the past six years, the Clarion Inn features 149 guest rooms and five meeting rooms that can accommodate up to 400 people for wedding receptions, banquets, and conventions. The hotel offers Splash Island, an indoor water park, which includes a 110 foot water slide, a water feature island with a 250 gallon water tipping bucket, water geysers, water cannons. There is also the Pear tree Restaurant and Sugar’s Lounge & Casino.
Guestrooms feature free wireless high-speed internet access, complimentary coffee and tea, fee local calls, HBO, and On Demand movies and games.
The Clarion Inn will continue to provide easy access to local points of interest like the University of North Dakota, Ralph Engelstad Arena, Alerus Events Center, and is minutes from downtown and shopping venues.
The hotel participates in Choice Privileges, the Choice Hotels Rewards Program where membership is free and offers points good towards free nights, airline miles, gift certificates, and more while staying at any Choice Hotel worldwide.
